Studio Space Ottawa is a guest, located on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Territory of the traditional Anishinaabeg people. The Algonquin peoples have lived on this land since time immemorial. We are grateful to have the opportunity to be present in this territory.
Studio Space Ottawa (SSO) provides stable, affordable, open, healthy and safe working spaces for practising artists. SSO is a place for visual artists and makers at all stages of their career pathways. This includes the established artist, the-mid career artist, and the emerging artist. We foster an environment where people can conduct their practice independently while maintaining a high level of artistic professionalism, personal development, and peer relationships.

Equity and Inclusion
At Studio Space Ottawa, we are committed to equal studio access for practicing artists ranging from emerging to the established. We support equal access for artists of all genders, orientations, races, religions, belief systems, and ethnicities. We support equal access for people of all abilities, but currently our space is not fully accessible to people with a range of disabilities; this is an area that we will be addressing as we continue to modify our space.
